1. Introduction & Data Fiduciary Details
Welcome to Namma Kalyanam (nammakalyanam.in), Coimbatore’s dedicated wedding discovery platform and auspicious Muhurtham calendar directory, operated by BringLeads, headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "our", or "us").
We act as a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA 2023") and comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules. This Privacy Policy outlines our transparent, zero-surveillance data practices for wedding couples, families, and business listing owners.
Unlike conventional wedding portals, Namma Kalyanam does NOT sell, rent, or trade personal data to third-party ad brokers. We do not load cross-site ad-tracking pixels (such as Meta Pixel or Google AdSense/Doubleclick). All directory analytics are strictly first-party, self-hosted, and designed to measure vendor discovery without invading family privacy.
2. Information We Collect
- Telemetry Identifiers: A pseudonymous, randomly generated first-party identifier (
nk_vid) and session token (nk_sid) stored in local browser cookies to measure unique directory visits. - Navigation & Inquiry Telemetry: Anonymized logs of pages viewed, locality filters selected, Muhurtham dates examined, and clicks on vendor contact buttons (WhatsApp, Phone call, Google Maps directions).
- Device & Network Data: General device category (mobile, tablet, desktop), browser type, and regional city/state (e.g. Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu). We do not record precise GPS coordinates of visitors.
- Attribution Data: Referring URLs and standard marketing campaign tags (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign) to measure which wedding expos or partner announcements brought you to the directory.
- Public Commercial Records: Business name, Tamil localization, establishment address, hall seating/floating capacity, dining leaf count, pricing packages, portfolio images, and amenities.
- Verification Credentials: When claiming a listing, claimant name, official role (Proprietor, Partner, Manager), contact phone, and official government proof (GST certificate, municipal trade license, electricity connection bill).
- Communication Records: WhatsApp or email records submitted during verification and onboarding.
💬 3. Direct WhatsApp & Phone Inquiry Guarantee
When you tap "Chat on WhatsApp" or "Call Listing Desk" on any wedding venue or vendor profile:
- You are redirected directly to WhatsApp or your device's native telephone dialer to communicate with the vendor with 0% middleman cut.
- Namma Kalyanam NEVER intercepts, reads, records, or stores private WhatsApp messages, voice calls, quotes, or negotiation details between couples and vendors.
- Our server logs only a counter timestamp indicating that an inquiry was initiated, allowing vendors to know how many couples reached out from our platform.
4. Purpose of Processing & Legal Basis
We process data under Section 4 and Section 7 of the DPDPA 2023 for specified, lawful purposes:
- Service Delivery: Enabling couples to discover kalyana mandapams and wedding professionals across Coimbatore.
- Fraud Prevention & Verification: Preventing unauthorized third parties from claiming venues or publishing falsified pricing.
- Vendor Reporting: Providing claimed and subscribed vendors with aggregated metrics on how many couples found their business.
- Platform Security: Mitigating DDoS attacks, scraper abuse, and fraudulent review submissions.
5. Data Storage, Security & Retention
All data is stored securely in regional cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare D1, KV, and Workers) with enterprise-grade AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.
Retention Schedules: Telemetry events are retained for a rolling period of 24 months to produce annual wedding season comparison reports for vendors, after which raw records are purged or permanently aggregated. Vendor verification documents are retained for the duration of the listing claim and for 3 years thereafter for audit and dispute resolution.
